On September 19, the solemn opening of the sports ground took place as part of the completion of the restoration work of the Dynamo Physical Culture and Sports Park.
The event was attended by Andrey Luntovsky, General Director of the Dynamo Management Company, Ivan Lysakov, Head of the Airport District Administration, Nikolai Tolstykh, Deputy Chairman of the Dynamo Central Council, and representatives of the Dynamo Moscow football club.
Among the guests of honor of the opening ceremony were Dynamo veterans:
Pilgui Vladimir Mikhailovich is a master of sports of international class. USSR national team player (1972-1977). Third medalist in the football tournament of the 1972 and 1980 Olympic Games. In 1973 he was named the best goalkeeper in the country. In the list of “33 best football players in the country” 5 times.
Kozlov Vladimir Vladimirovich - master of sports of international class (1972). Silver medalist of the USSR championship in 1967 and 1970. USSR Cup winner: 1966/67, 1970.
Losev Viktor Vasilievich - Honored Master of Sports (1989). 1988 Seoul Olympic Football Tournament Champion. In 1987-1992 he was the team captain (in 124 matches of the national championships). In the list of “33 best football players in the country” three times: No. 2 - 1987, 1988; No. 3 - 1986.
Privalov Alexander Vasilyevich - Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in biathlon, Honored Coach of the USSR, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation, two-time Olympic medalist.
Grishina Oksana Yuryevna - Honored Master of Sports in cycling, Olympic silver medalist, three-time bronze medalist of the World Championships, four-time champion of Russia.
Zudin Andrei Georgievich - head coach of the All-Union Federation of the sports society "Dynamo" in rhythmic and artistic gymnastics. Currently, the president of the gymnastic club "Dynamo-Moscow" them. M. Voronina.
In his opening speech, Andrey Georgievich Luntovsky noted that the opening of the park is important not only for the region, but for the city as a whole. This historical place is once again becoming a center of attraction for lovers of an active and healthy lifestyle.
“The main mission of the project is to educate a healthy generation, create a comfortable environment and provide all conditions for the development and improvement of the living standards of city residents. We plan to further develop the park and fill it with objects that are relevant for guests and local residents. In January 2021, the construction of the sports sector will begin, which will feature football, hockey, martial arts, volleyball, gymnastics, ballet and a recreation area. Within two years, the appearance of the Dynamo physical culture and sports park will be completely formed, but now it is becoming a favorite place for recreation for both residents of the region and the city.
Nikolai Alexandrovich Tolstykh also addressed the guests of the holiday:
“Today, it is necessary to note the constructive partnership relations that have developed between VTB Bank, the Dynamo Society, the Moscow Government and the Dynamo Management Company, which, of course, contributes to the successful implementation of the reconstruction project.
I am sure that in 2023, thanks to our common efforts, the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Dynamo Society will be held at the sports facilities of Petrovsky Park and the VTB Arena of the Lev Yashin Central Dynamo Stadium.”
On behalf of the veterans, Vladimir Pilgui delivered a welcoming speech. He expressed the hope that with the help of such projects, the interest of young people in sports and the Dynamo movement will grow faster every day.
In particular, as a fan and a resident of the Dynamo region, Vladimir Mikhailovich is waiting for the opening of the legendary goroshny playground, which was located here in the last century. Many fans came here to play a few games and discuss football.
At the celebration, all guests were entertained by animators, football and basketball tournaments were held, as well as drawings of gifts from partners of the VTB Arena. At the end of the event, everyone could try a multi-tiered birthday cake.
